Happy Holidays |Ice Skates

I love making wintery type cards and I love our Inspiration Book & Catalog, it is jam packed with inspiration.  Here is my attempt at replicating the creation that is shown on page 104 of the annual catalog.  While it did not come out exactly like the one in the catalog, I am very pleased with how it turned out.

On a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) card stock I stamped the Ink Splat (AT-0108) image in Pretty Amethyst (IP-0018) ink.  The Snowflake from the Snow Burst (SS-0144) stamp set was stamped in Pretty Pansy (IP-0026) ink.  Using the Happy Holidays from the Sparkle Trim (SS-0495) stamp set, I stamped it in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink.  Using Easy Glide (AD-0081) this panel was adhered to a piece of Pretty Pansy (CS-0029) cardstock, that was then adhered to a piece of Pretty Amethyst (CS-0028) cardstock onto a Pretty Pansy card base.

On a scrap piece of Whip Cream cardstock, I stamped the skates that come from the Ski Sled Skate (SS-0360) stamp set [love this stamp set, so much fun] onto a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink and cut it out using our Circle Dies (DI-0039) and then stamped the little snowflake from the Poinsettia Basket (SS-0527) in Black Licorice ink as well and punched it out using a 3/4″ Circle Punch (TO-0012).

These pieces were added to the card front using Foam Squares (AD-0084 and AD-0085).  Before adding the skates, I adhered some Whip Cream Thread (AC-0128) behind it.  The card was finished off with some Silver Silk (IP-0090) and adhered the Special Celebrations Sequins (AC-0115) using Glue Dots (AD-0083).

I think I am going to make up a few more of these and change the greeting to make it a Winter Wishes, Happy Birthday, Thinking of You, Thank You or Just Because.  I love the beauty of winter!

May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.

Great Deals!!!

Bold Wings (1 of 4)

Bold Wings (SS-0420) is such a beautiful stamp set.  The detail on the butterfly is just spectacular!!  And the sentiments that come with this set are very inspirational.

This week I will showcase 4 different card designs for this set.

The card layout showcased today, uses our White Liner sheets (AD-0113) and Journey Sparkle Dust (AC-0013). I got a little carried away with this technique!  But it was so much fun!!!!

For the background on the Bubble Gum cardstock (CS-0099), the Bold Wings stamp was used with River Stone ink (IP-0053) and stamped all over the cardstock to make your own background (be sure to rotate the image or stamp only part of it).

On the card below, no color was added to the butterfly after it was stamped in Rock Candy ink (IP-0028),  You stamp the butterfly onto Whip Cream cardstock (CS-0040) and then stamp it onto the White Liner Sheet.  Cut the butterfly out on the White Liner sheet.  The peel off the backing and lay it on top of the butterfly that is on the Whip Cream cardstock. Then peel off the other backing piece (the one on the top) and add Journey Sparkle Dust.  Burnish (rub) it onto the White Liner sheet with your fingers and tap off the excess.

No color was added to the butterfly

The sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Adhere the Whip Cream panel to the River Stone panel (IP-0053) (note the River Stone panel was cut out using our Journey Rectangles (DI-0041) – and it has a piercing element) and popped up on the Bubble Gum card base using our Journey Foam Squares (AD-0085).

The card was finished off by adding Journey Glaze (AD-0002) to the sentiment and adding  Journey Sequins – Special Celebration (AC-0115) and Pink World (AC-0112) to various spots on the card.

Here is another variation of this layout but this time I colored in the butterfly first on the Whip Cream cardstock before adding the White Liner Sheet and Sparkle Dust.  I love how it came out and really gives it a POP of color!!!

Here is another one – like I said I got a bit carried away.

This one is my favorite – I love the color contrast

Let your creative genius take over!  I am sure you will come up with some gorgeous designs using this stamp set.

May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.

Have fun with the Bold Wings stamp set, White Liner Sheets and our Journey Sparkle Dust!!
