Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart

I know it is not official Fall yet but how can you resist this card with this wonderful saying.  It can be used for so many things, I have been having fun creating with the Hello Fall Bundle (BD-0299) and thought I would make some Thank You cards to have on hand.  I have found that you can never have too many Thank You cards on hand.  I know I go through a lot of them.  What about you?

I love this saying from the Pumpkin Kisses Stamp Set.

The stamp sets I used were the Hello Fall Bundle (BD-0299).  I have used this stamp set before on a previous post.  It is just so versatile and a great add to your stash.  The saying came from the Pumpkin Kisses stamp set (SS-00526).  I love the sayings in this set and can see me using them on my scrapbook pages too.  The sentiment was stamped in Dark Roast (IP-0050) ink onto Banana Cream (CS-0087) cardstock.  I find I am using the Banana Cream cardstock more and more especially for fall cards.

I embossed the Maple leaf image from the Hello Fall Bundle using our Gold Embossing Powder (IP-0101) on Pomegranate Splash cardstock (CS-0025).  Then cut it out with the coordinating dies using the Amaze Machine (TO-0134).  I love this machine, compact and it gets the job done.  (Plus I love the green!!).

I stamped the background leaf image in Green Olive ink (IP-0072). Gold Silk (IP-0096) and Cranberry Bliss Silk (IP-0094) were added to for extra interest.  Since the Cranberry Bliss Silk is a little thicker than the Gold Silk, it does add texture to your card.  I added some Fashion Gold (AC-0292) elements (they come in Silver as well).  And there are various sizes in the pack.  I am going to have to stock up on these since I know I will be using them on my holiday cards as well.

I love the Fall colors on this card.

I took the Banana Cream panel and attached it to a piece of Dark Roast (CS-0091) cardstock before adhering it to my Pomegrante Splash (CS-0025) card base.

I used the Crease Tool (TO-0040) to shape the Maple Leaf (not sure it shows up in the photo) and then popped it up using Foam Squares (AD-0085) .  Added a bow using Natural Twine (AC-0005) and some Glue Dots (AD-0111).

I also like to decorate my envelopes.  I think it gives a nice touch and who doesn’t like happy mail!!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and that it has inspired you to make some Fall cards even if it isn’t officially Fall yet.

Fall is in the Air/Thank You

The air is starting to get a little cooler these days and Fall will be here before you know it.  So, I thought I would share an idea for a Fall Thank You card with you.

I used the Hello Fall Stamp Set (SS-0450) (this is a really nice set to have in your stash plus, there are matching dies available) and stamped some of the images in the following inks:  Dark Roast (IP-0050), Green Olive (IP-0072), Pumpkin Break (IP-0057), and Raspberry Berry (IP-0056).  The Thank You sentiment came from the Must Have Sentiments Stamp Set (SS-0501) (this is definitely a stamp set to have in your stash, very versatile).

Fall Thank You
I just love these fall colors!

The cardstock I used was Raspberry Berry (CS-0097), Pumpkin Bread (CS-0098), Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013) and Banana Cream (CS-0087).  The Banana Cream really complimented the other cardstock nicely.

I added some Gold Silk (IP-0096) and Cranberry Bliss Silk (IP-0094).  I love having our silks on hand because sometimes your card just needs an extra little something without being too over powering and they fit the bill.  I use them often and they have lasted me a long time. They really go a long way.

As a final touch, I added a bow using our Natural Twine (AC-0005) and our Glue Dots (AC-0083).

May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.

Happy Fall Crafting!!!

Still a few days left to get in on our Fusion Vibes Ink Pad sale!!!!  Sale ends August 31, 2017.

Ink it Up!!

Here is another cool technique I learned that you can achieve using your clear blocks and an ink pad.  I used Clear Blocks B & C (TO-0035 and TO-0036).

Ink it up 1
Can you figure out my oops in this picture?  Just keepin’ it real!

You take the non grid side of your clear block and ink it up using the ink pad color of your choice and stamp onto your cardstock.  Be sure to clean off your blocks very well between colors.

Be sure to clean off your blocks really good between colors.

The ink pad colors I used for this card were Orange Rave (IP-0113), Turbo Teal (IP-0116), Electric Lime (IP-0112), Cosmic Grape (IP-0111), Outrageous Pink (IP-0114) and Sour Lemon (IP-0115).

The design possibilities are endless.

Adhered the Whip Cream (CS-0040) card base to a piece of Black Licorice cardstock (CS-0003) and then onto a piece of Sour Lemon cardstock (CS-0126).

I stamped Make-A-Wish (AT-0246) in Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041) and then cut it out.  There is a die for this and it is definitely on my need to order list!!!

I added some Silver Silk (IP-0090), Sparkle Silk (IP-0126) and Electric Lime Silk (IP-0108) to the card.  Added a small piece of Black Licorice cardstock along with a piece of our Decostrips in Black (AC-0285) (our Decostrips also come in red).  Popped up the Make a Wish with Foam Squares (AD-0085).

I love this font!!

The inside sentiment Happy Birthday came from the Dude Ranch Stamp Set (SS-0477) – this stamp set has matching dies available also.

T-Rex Love

Just wanted to pop in with a cool technique that I learned.  If you take your ink pad and hold it so that you can take the edge of it and walk it around your paper you can get this cool look!!!

Such a cool technique

At first I wasn’t so sure about it but as I played more with this technique and added other elements onto the cards, I really like it.

Pool Party

It might not seem like it but Summer is just around the corner!!!

This was a fun card to make and I just love the different elements used.

It might not show up in the photo but Journey Glaze was used over the letters in Pool Party.  I love it!!!  It gives the effect of them being written in water.  The beach ball also has Journey Glaze on it, again giving the effects of water.  Pretty cool!

The beach ball (both outside and inside), as well as the fish was colored in using the silks and splashes (listed below in the supply list).

I love the pop up action of this card!  This would make a great pool party invite!!

Gone Fishin’

Here are some of the projects that were created from the previous RG Presents.  I loved using our Color Splash, Silks, Vellum and Color Splash sheets. I can not tell you how having the right tools for the job so to speak really makes a world of difference on your projects.

Waves of Change

Waves of Change – White Embossing powder was used on Designer Vellum.  It really gives a very nice texture.

Travel Together

Travel Together – the background was stamped with Clear Pigment Ink and then colored over with Panpastels.  This is such a great look.  I love how you can keep building up the color to get the look you want.  I love the effect of using Journey Glaze with our Sparkle Cuts and Sparkle Dust, it really adds interest in giving the fish scales.

Jelly Fish
Jellyfish Wish

Jellyfish Wish – Journey Glaze was used on top of the Jellyfish, then Sparkle Cuts was used to give it some added interest.  Using small pieces of the Under the Sea Prints paper really makes this card pop.  Great way to use printed cardstock especially when you can’t choose what pattern you want to use.

These projects were challenging and exciting at the same time.  I really enjoyed making them and I can’t wait to show you my other creations from the Spring into Summer mini catalog.

Happy Crafting!!
