Double Pocket Card|Gift Card Holder|Rainbow Drops

I needed to make several gift card holders and pulled out the Double Pocket Card Die (DI-0298).  I love how easy it is to but this together and that you have 2 pockets, one for the gift card and the other for a note.  There is also a Pocket Trim Die set (DI-0297) available that compliments this die set.

Double Pocket Die

I used a 12 x 12 piece of Beach Breeze (CS-0051) card stock and my Journey Platinum Machine (TO-0090) to cut out the die.  I used White Liner (AD-0001) to adhere the tab pieces together to make the pocket.  The die does make score lines so it is easy to figure out where to make your folds.  I used the snowflake from the Ski Sled Skate (SS-0360) stamp set and inked it up in Beach Breeze (IP-0044) ink for the front of the pocket.

I had a piece that I created previously when I was playing with the Gel Press (JM-0107), Lovely Blue Liquid Color (IP-0134) and the Winter Wonderland Stencil (JM-0086).  It was perfect to use on this card as a background for the note card and the accent trim piece on one of the pockets.

Double Pocket Die 4

Using the Snow Blooms Die Set (DI-0253) I cut out the pieces using Mirror Silver (CS-0137) and Brush Silver (CS-0135).

Double Pocket Die 3

For the note I stamped the Merry Christmas in Catalina Splash (IP-0073) ink from the Merry Words (SS-0451) stamp set.  I added one of the Brush Silver snowflakes to the bottom and added one of our Rainbow Drops (AC-0178).  I added a Brush Silver snowflake to the trim part of the pocket and added a Cut Rhinestone (AC-0023) to the center.  The big snowflake was adhered to the front pocket using a Foam Square (AD-0085) and then a Rainbow Drop was added to the middle using Glue Dots (AD-0083).

Double Pocket Die 2

I love our Rainbow Drops.  I am so glad they are part of the 12 Days of Deals. I am buying 2 sets as I do use them a lot.

Merry Christmas | Snowflakes

One of my fellow coaches come up with this card design.  I loved it so much that I just had to make it as well.  I changed it up a little bit – here is my version.  I love the color combination.

Merry Christmas Snowflake

On a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock, I used a Clear Block C (TO-0036) (the non-grid side)  and inked it up in Cool Pool ink (IP-0074) and stamped it onto a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock.  Then using a snowflake from the Snow Burst (SS-0144) stamp set [there are dies to match and it does come in a bundle], I stamped the snowflake using Beach Breeze (IP-0044) ink.  The sentiment was stamped in Rock Candy (IP-0028) ink and comes from the Merry Words (SS-0451) stamp set [there are coordinating dies for this and it comes in a bundle as well].  Silver Silk (IP-0090) was added to this panel as well.

Using a piece of the Mirror Silver (CS-0137) cardstock, I cut out the Snowflakes using the Snow Blooms Die Set (DI-0253).  Then not wanting to waste any of this wonderful paper, I adhered the Whip Cream panel onto of the Mirror Silver paper.  [this is a great way to conserve your precious papers, and only you will know what is underneath].  This piece was adhered to a Cool Pool (CS-0118) card base.

Merry Christmas Snowflake 2

The largest snowflake was applied using a Foam Square (AD-0085). Then on top of that I adhered the medium snowflake with a Glue Dot (AC-0083), and applied a Rainbow Drop (AC-0178) on top of that using a Glue Dot as well.  The smallest snowflake was applied to the lower left of the card using a Glue Dot and a Rainbow Drop was adhered with a Glue Dot.

I just love how this card turned out!!  I hope you give it a try.

Bountiful Thanks

I am a firm believer in letting others know how thankful I am.  Whether it is something that they have helped me out with,  a gift or sometimes just giving someone a Thank You card for just being them.  The fall is a great time of year to make a bunch of Thank You cards to have on-hand.  Why?  Because nature is so beautiful this time of year with all the wonderful colors –  I love being able to incorporate those colors in my cards.

Bountiful Thanks 2
Love the fall colors

I used images from the Bountiful Thanks (SS-0531), Pumpkin Kisses (SS-0526) and Hello Fall (SS-0450) [there are coordinating dies available for the Hello Fall and a bundle is also available] and stamped them in the following inks:  Orange Creamsicle (IP-0024), Pineapple Smoothie (IP-0014), Green Olive (IP-0072) and Pumpkin Bread (IP-0057) onto a piece of Banana Cream (CS-0087) cardstock. The words – Bountiful Thanks were stamped in Dark Roast (IP-0050) ink.

I adhered a piece of Corrugated Cardstock (ST-0124) onto the bottom of the Banana Cream piece.  I am in love with our corrugated paper.  It is so easy to work with and it is a thin corrugated rather than a thick corrugated (some are too thick that they make your card really bulky –  this is high quality card stock but not bulky – I hope that makes sense).Bountiful Thanks 1

I then adhered a piece of Pumpkin Patch Ribbon (AC-0334) [I just love this ribbon, the color, the size, it is so easy to work with to make bows – I could go on but I’ll stop now].

The Banana Cream panel was added onto a piece of Orange Creamsicle (CS-0024) cardstock and then adhered to a Cocoa Powder (CS-0008) card base.

I added some of our Rainbow Drops (AC-0178) to the flowers using Glue Dots (AC-0083).

Bountiful Thanks 3
There are so many colors and sizes in our Rainbow Drops.

Hope you have a wonderful day fall crafting!

I’d love for you to be part of my team – Bloomin’ Sensation

Vintage Sound/Happy Birthday

I love music!!!  There was nothing like listening to a record on the record player.  Listening to all the clicks and pops and yes the times when you had to put a penny on the needle so it wouldn’t skip (boy have we come a long way).  LOL – so the minute I saw the Vintage Sound stamp set (SS-0328) I had to get it.  I just knew it would be a big hit!  I decided to make a birthday card with it for another music lover in my family.

Vintage Sound
Vintage Sound Stamp Set (SS-0328)

I stamped the guitar from the Vintage Sound Stamp Set (SS-0328) onto a Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013) card base using Dark Roast (IP-0050) ink.  I used some of the images from the same stamp and embossed them onto Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock.  Before embossing I prep my cardstock by using our Colorless Blender (JM-0095) to help reduce the static.  The records and music notes from the Vintage Sound Stamp Set were stamped with Clear Pigment Ink (IP-0102) and embossed using Black Embossing Powder (IP-0099) and for the record adapter, I stamped the image in Lemon Drop (IP-0043) Ink and the very quickly applied Clear Embossing Powder (IP-0097).  [Our inks dry quickly (which I love) so I wanted to make sure that I applied the Clear Embossing Powder right away and then heat set with the Heat Tool (TO-0083). ]

Vintage Sound 2
Love how the records look embossed.

I added some Silver Silk (IP-0090) and Turbo Teal Silk (IP-0119) to the panel before I adhered it to a piece of Pool Play (CS-0092) cardstock which I popped up using Foam Squares (AD-0085) onto the Hazelnut Blend card base.

I cut a piece of Vellum (PP-0044) using our Journey Circle Dies (DI-0039) (these come with a piercing element as well).  Popped that up using Foam Squares and added a piece of Journey Silver Thread (AC-0204) before adding the sentiment that was stamped in Dark Roast Ink (IP-0050) onto Whip Cream cardstock and cut out using the Details Pro Shears (TO-0063).

I felt the card still needed a little something so I added some of our Rainbow Drops (AC-0178). (You get a variety of colors and sizes with these gems – I have 2 sets, one to use and one to just look at!).

I wanted to add a little something to the inside of the card as well so I used Pool Play Ink (IP-0051) to stamp the Vintage Notes (SS-0303).  I didn’t want a full impression so when I applied the ink I made sure that it was applied randomly to the image.  Happy Birthday was stamped in Dark Roast Ink (IP-0050) and came from the Cake Time Stamp Set (SS-0138).  I wanted to continue the pattern from the front of the card so I added some Silver Silk and Turbo Teal Silk to the inside of the card as well.

Vintage Sound 3
Love to bring elements from the outside of the card to the inside.

I love the images from the Vintage Sound stamp set and didn’t get to use them all on this card so I just had to stamp the envelope (ST-0118) as well.

Vintage Sound Env
Used more images from the Vintage Notes Stamp Set to decorate the envelope.

Beautiful America/America the Beautiful (Part 4 of 4)

I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to finish off the series of posts this week using the Beautiful America stamp set than with this America the Beautiful card.

America the Beautiful
Beautiful America/America The Beautiful

After adhering the sentiment, I added some Special Celebration Sequins, Candy Apple Confetti Sparkle Elements  and Journey Silver Thread.

Below is a recap of the cards from this week’s posts.

Patriotic Recap

I hope you enjoyed the cards made with the Beautiful America stamp set.  Weather you are celebrating July 4th, thanking someone for their service or inviting someone to a background BBQ, this is  a great stamp set to have on hand.

Beautiful America/Lady Liberty (Part 2 of 4)

Using the same base as the previous card, I added a piece of our Vellum Designer Prints that I cut out using our Journey Ovals.  The vellum adds a soft light background and helps to make the Lady Liberty image stand out.

Lady Liberty

I put some Cool Pool Splash and Lemon Grass Splash on a clear view sheet and misted it with water, then added that to some Whip Cream cardstock.  Using the heat tool, I dried it and then stamped the Lady Liberty image with River Stone Ink.  I added the Sparkle Silk to finish off the image.

Rainbow Drops (love the variety of colors and sizes they come in) were added giving the card some dimension and added interest.

Happy crafting!!

Listed below are the additional items I used on this card.  The supplies for the card base can be found in the previous post.
