I finally got the chance to play around and experiment with our Liquid Color. I was totally in the crafting zone making this card!
I pulled out the following colors [we have many more] from our Liquid Color Collection: Cool Pool (IP-0140), Riverstone (IP-0138), Watermelon Fusion (IP-0142), Lemon Drop (IP-0132) and a Media Mister (TO-0121). I put a couple of drops of each color onto a craft mat [I would have used our Gel Press (JM-0107) but I am in the middle of re-organizing my craft space and I wasn’t sure what box I put it in]. The I sprayed a couple of spritzes of water. I took a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) card stock and picked up the different colors randomly. [This technique would be great to do with our Color Splash Sheets (JM-0076)].
Before you start stamping , you want to make sure your card stock is dry. To speed up this process I used my Heat Tool (TO-0083). I stamped some of the images from the Perfect Atoms Bundle (BD-0285) randomly in Watermelon Fusion (IP-0027), Turbo Teal (IP-0116) and Black Licorice (IP-0041) onto the card panel.
On a piece of Whip Cream card stock, I stamped the beaker images using Black Licorice ink and cut them out using the coordinating dies. Using a Small Blending Brush (TO-0097) and the Liquid Color, I colored in some of the beakers. For the large beaker, I used a Small Blending Brush and our Sparkle Silk(IP-0126) to color in the liquid in that image.
On a piece of Black Licorice card stock, I used White Embossing Powder (IP-0098) to emboss the sentiment.
Then it was time to assemble the card. Using Easy Glide (AD-0081), I adhered the stamped panel to a piece of Candy Apple card stock (CS-0007) and adhered that to a Whip Cream card base. Using Foam Squares (AD-0084 and AD-0085) I popped up the beakers and the sentiment. As a final touch I added some hearts from Fire & Ice (AC-0346)[these are one of the Bloom Benefits that we offer and you can get them Free with an order of $50 or more – for a complete list of Bloom Benefits – check out the annual and trends mini catalog (s) – they are shown in the beginning of those catalogs – to view the catalogs you can click on the tabs above].
I had such a blast experimenting with our Liquid Color. So much fun!!
