Here’s the Scoop | Sweet Life

Oh my gosh, I had so much fun creating this card using the Sweet Life Bundle and the Playful Prints paper!!!  Best of all these creations were made for a great group of folks that put tremendous care in getting those FSJ Orders shipped out.  I made these for the Fun Stampers Journey Shipping Crew!!!  Yes, these folks are awesome and I just wanted to let them know how thankful I am for them and all they do.

Heres the Scoop2

Here are the details for this card.

The card front comes from Playful Prints.  I used two of the images from the Sweet Life Bundle and die cut them out on the panel and then using the Circle Around Dies cut out a circle for the sundae image.  Using Pineapple Smoothie card stock and the Journey Circles and Journey Scallops Dies, I cut out a piece to dress up the circle cut out.

Heres the Scoop

On a Turbo Teal card base, I adhered a Whip Cream panel.  Using Foam Squares, I popped up the printed paper.

On a piece of Whip Cream card stock, I stamped some of the images from the Sweet Life Bundle in Black Licorice ink and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  The images were colored in using Dark Roast Silk, Sparkle Silk, Bubble Gum Silk, Pineapple Smoothie Splash, Shimmer Gold Splash, Sweet Berry Splash, Shimmer Silver Splash and a Small and Medium Blending Brush. [I love coloring images using our silks and splashes, makes coloring so easy and quick].  Journey Glaze was added to the cherry on the sundae and I added Journey Glaze to the top of the ice cream cone before adding some Confetti Sparkle Elements – Lemon Grass.

Heres the Scoop7

The milk shake images was adhered into the cut out using Craft Glue. The ice cream cone was popped up using Foam Squares. For the sundae image, I did pop it up as well using Foam Squares but I doubled them so that it was popped out more.

Using White Embossing Powder, I stamped the sentiment on Black Licorice card stock.

The inside sentiment comes from the All Year Long stamp set [this is a host exclusive set and there are coordinating dies available].  The sentiment was stamped in Turbo Teal ink.

I really had a blast making this card.

Noel Wreath | Santa | Merry Christmas

I love making vintage looking cards, especially for the holidays.  When I saw the Noel Wreath Stamp (AT-0267), I knew that I wanted to use it to make a vintage looking card.  There is so much detail on this stamp that I felt that it didn’t need to be colored in.

Vintage Santa 3

I took a piece of Oatmeal Cookie (CS-0023) card stock and ran it through the HOHOHO Bold Embossing Folder (EF-0024 – this is a Bloom Benefit – available with a purchase of  $100 or more), then I took my Hazelnut Blend (IP-0012) ink pad and gently rubbed it on top of the embossed piece.  It really makes the words from the HOHOHO Bold embossing folder pop.  I took a piece of the Christmas Cheer Prints (PP-0049) and with a Fusion Ink Sponge (JM-0014), I sponged the edges and lightly sponged the top of the printed paper.  I adhered this piece to the embossed piece using Easy Glide (AD-0081).  I added a piece of So Plaid Ribbon (AC-0317) before adhering the panel to the Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013) card base.

I stamped the Noel Wreath Image onto a piece of Butter Cream (CS-0006) cardstock using Hazelnut Blend ink (IP-0012).  Using the Journey Circles (DI-0039), I cut the Butter Cream piece and then sponged the edges with Hazelnut Blend ink.  This piece was popped up onto the card front using Foam Squares (AD-0085) and I added some Fashion Gold (AC-0292).

Vintage Santa 2
I just love the So Plaid Ribbon (AC-0317)

For the inside of the card, I stamped the Postage Stamp (AT-0056) in Oatmeal Cookie (IP-0011) ink randomly on a piece of Butter Cream cardstock  and then stamped the Merry Christmas from the Holiday Wishes (SS-0469) stamp set in Candy Apple (IP-0017) ink.  Using Easy Glide (AD-0081), I adhered it to the inside of the card.

Get Well Soon/ Chicken Soup

Yes, unfortunately it is that time of year when we start to get more colds than usual.  No one likes being sick, it is no fun.  So, what better way to cheer someone up than with a Get Well Card and yes, chicken soup!  This card totally fits the bill.  You could even make home-made chicken soup to bring over to someone along with this card and make a Get Well Soon care package for them.  Or maybe even include one of those package chicken soup mixes.

Chicken Soup 2
How fun is this card!

I love, love, love the Huckleberry Fusion (CS-0015) cardstock and had to use it as the base for this card.  I cut a piece of Summer Days (CS-0033) cardstock, stamped it with the Picnic Pattern (SS-0436) stamp in Citrus Cooler (IP-0048 )ink[I love this picnic pattern stamp, I am thinking it would make a great holiday card background or a background for a guy card].   The Get Well (SS-0331) sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink.  I then added a piece of Licorice Sparkle Tape (AC-0257) {this is part of the Make Your Make Promotion} and then adhered it to the card base using Easy Glide (AD-0081).

Chicken Soup 3
Love all our sparkle tape – so many to choose from and the glitter does not come off!!! Yeah!

I stamped the chicken from the Get Well stamp set in Black Licorice ink onto a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock.  Using the Journey Circles Dies (DI-0039) I cut it out.  The chicken was colored using Journey Color Burst Pencils (JM-0077) {#018, #011, #02, #031).  I sponged the edges of the circle with Summer Days (IP-0042) ink and then popped up the chicken on the card using Foam Squares (AD-0085).

For the inside of the card I added a piece of Summer Days cardstock and stamped the sentiment and spoon image in Black Licorice ink.

Trick or Treat | Friends Our Are Chosen Family

I am loving the Fall Fest Prints Paper (PP-0048).  They are all so pretty.  They are available in the Journey Holidays Trends Mini Catalog (CL-0028) that runs through the end of December.  I think I might have to order a couple more packs of this.

I love the Halloween stamps, papers and embellishments.  This year I decided to make some Halloween cards with some inspiring or fun messages to send to my friends.  I think we love Halloween just as much as the kids do so why not share the fun with the adults as well!!

Trick or Treat Chosen Family 3
I just love the bird/tree print paper that comes in the Fall Fest Prints.

Blue Lagoon (CS-0004) cardstock was used for the card base.  (this is an amazing color in-person).  I used one of the prints from the Fall Fest Prints and using the Journey Circle Die (DI-0039), cut a circle in it.  I took a scrap piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock and stamped the words Trick or Treat from the Creepy Kids Bundle (BD-0297) in Rock Candy (IP-0028) ink.  (I didn’t use Black Licorice because I wanted the words to be there but not take over the paper or the Halloween Scene – I wanted them to be a little more subtle).  I adhered those pieces to piece of Black Licorice (CS-0003) cardstock.

The Creepy Kids were stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink onto Whip Cream cardstock and colored in using the  Color Burst Pencils (JM-0077).  I used our Fringe Shears (TO-0081) to cut some Green Olive (CS-0113) cardstock to make it look like grass.  Using Foam Squares (AD-0084 and AD-0085), I popped up the grass onto the card base and then added the Creepy Kids using Foam Squares as well.

Trick or Treat Chosen Family 1
These little Creepy Kids have such great detail on them.

For the inside of the card, I used some scrap pieces of the Fall Fest Prints (I love this paper so much I didn’t want to waste any of it) to adhere to a Whip Cream piece of cardstock.  I stamped the saying Friends are our Chose Family in Black Licorice ink [this sentiment comes from the Chosen Family Bundle (BD-0263)]  and then the Happy Halloween from the Creepy Kids set.  I adhered the Whip Cream panel onto a piece of Black Licorice cardstock before adhering it to the Blue Lagoon card base.

Trick or Treat Chosen Family 2

I added one of the Creepy Kids to the inside of the card as well.

Trick or Treat Chosen Family 4
This little ghost is my favorite Creepy Kid – he almost looks like he’s pouting – too cute.

Vintage Sound/Happy Birthday

I love music!!!  There was nothing like listening to a record on the record player.  Listening to all the clicks and pops and yes the times when you had to put a penny on the needle so it wouldn’t skip (boy have we come a long way).  LOL – so the minute I saw the Vintage Sound stamp set (SS-0328) I had to get it.  I just knew it would be a big hit!  I decided to make a birthday card with it for another music lover in my family.

Vintage Sound
Vintage Sound Stamp Set (SS-0328)

I stamped the guitar from the Vintage Sound Stamp Set (SS-0328) onto a Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013) card base using Dark Roast (IP-0050) ink.  I used some of the images from the same stamp and embossed them onto Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock.  Before embossing I prep my cardstock by using our Colorless Blender (JM-0095) to help reduce the static.  The records and music notes from the Vintage Sound Stamp Set were stamped with Clear Pigment Ink (IP-0102) and embossed using Black Embossing Powder (IP-0099) and for the record adapter, I stamped the image in Lemon Drop (IP-0043) Ink and the very quickly applied Clear Embossing Powder (IP-0097).  [Our inks dry quickly (which I love) so I wanted to make sure that I applied the Clear Embossing Powder right away and then heat set with the Heat Tool (TO-0083). ]

Vintage Sound 2
Love how the records look embossed.

I added some Silver Silk (IP-0090) and Turbo Teal Silk (IP-0119) to the panel before I adhered it to a piece of Pool Play (CS-0092) cardstock which I popped up using Foam Squares (AD-0085) onto the Hazelnut Blend card base.

I cut a piece of Vellum (PP-0044) using our Journey Circle Dies (DI-0039) (these come with a piercing element as well).  Popped that up using Foam Squares and added a piece of Journey Silver Thread (AC-0204) before adding the sentiment that was stamped in Dark Roast Ink (IP-0050) onto Whip Cream cardstock and cut out using the Details Pro Shears (TO-0063).

I felt the card still needed a little something so I added some of our Rainbow Drops (AC-0178). (You get a variety of colors and sizes with these gems – I have 2 sets, one to use and one to just look at!).

I wanted to add a little something to the inside of the card as well so I used Pool Play Ink (IP-0051) to stamp the Vintage Notes (SS-0303).  I didn’t want a full impression so when I applied the ink I made sure that it was applied randomly to the image.  Happy Birthday was stamped in Dark Roast Ink (IP-0050) and came from the Cake Time Stamp Set (SS-0138).  I wanted to continue the pattern from the front of the card so I added some Silver Silk and Turbo Teal Silk to the inside of the card as well.

Vintage Sound 3
Love to bring elements from the outside of the card to the inside.

I love the images from the Vintage Sound stamp set and didn’t get to use them all on this card so I just had to stamp the envelope (ST-0118) as well.

Vintage Sound Env
Used more images from the Vintage Notes Stamp Set to decorate the envelope.

Hello Beautiful (2 of 4)

Here is the second card design featuring the Bold Wings (SS-0420) stamp set.  The butterfly image was stamped in Bubble Gum (IP-0058) ink onto a Whip Cream (CS-0040) card front.  Then it was stamped again with Pretty Amethyst (IP-0018) ink to make a background.  The card front was then adhered to a River Stone (CS-0094) card base.

I stamped a second butterfly onto Whip Cream cardstock using River Stone (IP-0053) ink.  I colored in the stamped image using Color Splash Pencils (JM-0078).  I love how easy it is to blend colors using these pencils.  Detail cut the butterfly image (I used detail pro shears – makes it so easy).

Using your Crease Tool (TO-0040) curve the butterfly wings to help give “movement” to the butterly. (This is a great tool to have on hand because you can use it to curve flower petals as well).

If you look close you’ll notice that the colors of the main butterfly match the colors of the background stamping.

Hello Beautiful Bold Wings
I love the background stamping on this card!!

The sentiment Hello Beautiful was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink and then Journey Glaze (AD-0002) was added to give it some interest and dimension.

Journey Circles (DI-0039) were used to cut out the Lavender Fusion (CS-0017) cardstock. This helps add to the focal point of the colored butterfly image that you will adhere to the circle using foam squares.  The circle was popped up as well.

It is difficult to tell from the photo but Craft Glue (D-0111) was applied to the edges of the butterfly and then Journey Sparkle Cuts (AC-0151) were added.  I added some of our Special Celebration sequins (AC-0115) randomly on the card to finish it off.
