Get Well Soon/ Chicken Soup

Yes, unfortunately it is that time of year when we start to get more colds than usual.  No one likes being sick, it is no fun.  So, what better way to cheer someone up than with a Get Well Card and yes, chicken soup!  This card totally fits the bill.  You could even make home-made chicken soup to bring over to someone along with this card and make a Get Well Soon care package for them.  Or maybe even include one of those package chicken soup mixes.

How fun is this card!

I love, love, love the Huckleberry Fusion (CS-0015) cardstock and had to use it as the base for this card.  I cut a piece of Summer Days (CS-0033) cardstock, stamped it with the Picnic Pattern (SS-0436) stamp in Citrus Cooler (IP-0048 )ink[I love this picnic pattern stamp, I am thinking it would make a great holiday card background or a background for a guy card].   The Get Well (SS-0331) sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink.  I then added a piece of Licorice Sparkle Tape (AC-0257) {this is part of the Make Your Make Promotion} and then adhered it to the card base using Easy Glide (AD-0081).

Love all our sparkle tape – so many to choose from and the glitter does not come off!!! Yeah!

I stamped the chicken from the Get Well stamp set in Black Licorice ink onto a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock.  Using the Journey Circles Dies (DI-0039) I cut it out.  The chicken was colored using Journey Color Burst Pencils (JM-0077) {#018, #011, #02, #031).  I sponged the edges of the circle with Summer Days (IP-0042) ink and then popped up the chicken on the card using Foam Squares (AD-0085).

For the inside of the card I added a piece of Summer Days cardstock and stamped the sentiment and spoon image in Black Licorice ink.

Get Well Soon/Hello Sunflower

I am a huge Sunflower fan (can you tell, LOL).  I was like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for this month’s Bloom Box to arrive.  I love getting the Bloom Box.  Not only do I love the projects you can create with it but I also love to come up with my own.  I always learn something new when I make my Bloom Box.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stamp set!!!

I used Pineapple Smoothie (CS-0026) for the card base.  I cut a piece of Rich Coral (CS-0093) to 5 1/4″ x 4″.  (Can I just say that Rich Coral is now one of my favorite cardstock colors!!!).  Using the Get Well Soon from the Get Well Stamp Set (SS-0031), I stamped it onto the Rich Coral base using Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041).  I then cut a strip of Oatmeal Cookie (CS-0023) to 5 1/4″ x 1 1/2″.  Using the HoneyComb ATS (AT-0090) I stamped it in Hazelnut Blend Ink (IP-0012) onto the Oatmeal Cookie piece.  I adhered this piece to the Rich Coral panel and then attached a piece of Green Olive Grosgrain Ribbon (AC-0248).  [I love cutting ribbon with our Grand Pro Shears (TO-0064), they are amazing!! Nothing sticks to them and they are self sharpening.]  Using Easy Glide (AD-0081), I adhered it to the Pineapple Smoothie card base.

Using the Journey Ovals (DI-0042), I cut out a piece of Pool Play (CS-0092) and Buttercream (CS-0006) using the same size oval for both.  I stamped the smaller sunflower from the Hello Sunflower September 2017 Bloom Box onto the Buttercream oval piece using Black Licorice ink.  I used the Journey Color Burst Pencils (JM-0077) to color it in using #015, #016, #021, #023 and #039.  I added some Journey Gold Silk (IP-0096) before adhering it to the Pool Play oval (slightly offset).  Then using Foam Squares (AD-0085) I adhered it to the card.

Get Well/March 2017 Bloom Box

As they say, laughter is the best medicine.

Why not cheer someone up with a funny Get Well card.  This card was created using the Punny Punny stamp set from the March 2017 Bloom Box and the stamp set Get Well.  I had so much fun creating this card!!  I wanted to give the card some dimension, so I cut out the spoon and noodles and popped them up using our Journey Foam Squares.  You could add even more dimension by cutting out the chicken and popping it up.

Add this card to a gift bag that has some cans of chicken soup in it and you have a great Get Well gift for a family member, friend or co-worker.

I used our Color Burst pencils to color in the chicken.  Colors used were 015, 016, 013, 010, 09, 011 and 014.

To get the Punny, Punny stamp set, you will need to become a subscriber to the Bloom Box before March 31, 2017.  I hope you enjoyed the cards that I shared this week using the Punny, Punny – March 2017 Bloom Box.

Happy Crafting!
