May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.
I have been busy creating cards, gift card holders, tags, etc. for the holidays. I had extra pieces laying around from projects that I completed and thought I would see what I could come up with. Here is what my creative mind put together.
I ran a piece of Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013) card stock through the Corrugated Board Embossing Folder (EF-0017). Using my Hazelnut Blend (IP-0012) ink pad, I brushed over the top of the embossed piece to bring out the detail from the embossing folder. I took a piece of Candy Apple Journey Tape (AC-0309) and added it to a scrap piece of Mirror Silver and Mirror Gold (CS-0136 and CS-0137). I then adhered that to a piece of Raspberry Berry (CS-0097) card stock before adhering it to a Rock Candy (CS-0031) card base.
The Bells and Wreath come from the Medallion Wreath Die (DI-0250). The Bells were cut out of Mirror Gold and Mirror Silver (CS-0136 and CS-0137) and the Wreath was cut out of a piece from the Through the Year Prints (PP-0050). I used Foam Squares (AD-0084) to adhere the Wreath to the front panel and then added the Bell using Easy Glide (AD-0081). On the Gold card, I used Summer Play Sparkles (AC-0280) to accent the Wreath and on the Silver card, I used Fashion Silver (AC-0293) and Summer Play Sparkles (AC-0280).
The Season’s Greeting Sentiment came from the Sparkle Trim (SS-0495) stamp set. I stamped one in Gold and one in Silver ink. [this ink is not FSJ – I used what I had on hand but FSJ does carry both Gold and Silver ink – I will list them in the supply list below]. I then cut it out and used Foam Squares (AD-0084) to adhere it to the card front.
The inside sentiment came from the Merry Words (SS-0451) was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink.
My grandparents had a wooden hand-made manger set and the figures were made out of chalk. There was an angel at the top of the manger. The other pieces broke over the years. But the angel remained in tack and I have it hanging in my house year round. It is a constant reminder to me of their love for family and how traditions are important.
The Herald Angels (SS-0347) stamp set reminds me of the angel from their manger. I hope you enjoy my creation.
I used an acrylic block and added a small puddle of our Lovely Blue (IP-0134) Liquid Color and diluted it with water by using our Media Mister (TO-0121). Then using the Small Dauber Dowel (TO-0137), I applied it to a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock. I wanted to give it a cloud/sky effect. After that dried, I inked up the Vintage Notes (SS-0303) stamp set in Oatmeal Cookie (IP-0011) ink. I embossed the sentiments by mixing Black (IP-0099) and Silver (IP-0100) embossing powder together. I added some Sparkle (IP-0126) and Silver Silk (IP-0090) as well.
On another piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock, I embossed the angels using Silver (IP-0100) embossing powder. [I love how our embossing powder really shows the details of this stamp set]. Using the same Lovely Blue Liquid Color (IP-0134) and water combination, I added some Sparkle Silk (IP-0126) to it and then colored the angel using a Small Blending Brush (TO-0097). I made sure to make the wings lighter than their gown.
Using the Color Burst pencils (JM-0077) I colored in the arms, face and hair of the angel.
I cut out the angels using our Detail Shears (TO-0063) [there is a die for the set but I was just in the mood to fussy cut, so I did]. The angels were then popped up on the card front using Foam Squares (AD-0085)[glad I stocked up on those from the Black Friday sale].
The Whip Cream card front was adhered to a piece of Mirror Silver (CS-0137) paper before being adhered to a Denim Days (CS-0082) card base.
I added some Fashion Silver (AC-0293) to finish off the card.
Reminder that our Embossing Essentials Bundle is part of the 12 Days of Deals only available on December 16, 2017.
I needed to make several gift card holders and pulled out the Double Pocket Card Die (DI-0298). I love how easy it is to but this together and that you have 2 pockets, one for the gift card and the other for a note. There is also a Pocket Trim Die set (DI-0297) available that compliments this die set.
I used a 12 x 12 piece of Beach Breeze (CS-0051) card stock and my Journey Platinum Machine (TO-0090) to cut out the die. I used White Liner (AD-0001) to adhere the tab pieces together to make the pocket. The die does make score lines so it is easy to figure out where to make your folds. I used the snowflake from the Ski Sled Skate (SS-0360) stamp set and inked it up in Beach Breeze (IP-0044) ink for the front of the pocket.
I had a piece that I created previously when I was playing with the Gel Press (JM-0107), Lovely Blue Liquid Color (IP-0134) and the Winter Wonderland Stencil (JM-0086). It was perfect to use on this card as a background for the note card and the accent trim piece on one of the pockets.
Using the Snow Blooms Die Set (DI-0253) I cut out the pieces using Mirror Silver (CS-0137) and Brush Silver (CS-0135).
For the note I stamped the Merry Christmas in Catalina Splash (IP-0073) ink from the Merry Words (SS-0451) stamp set. I added one of the Brush Silver snowflakes to the bottom and added one of our Rainbow Drops (AC-0178). I added a Brush Silver snowflake to the trim part of the pocket and added a Cut Rhinestone (AC-0023) to the center. The big snowflake was adhered to the front pocket using a Foam Square (AD-0085) and then a Rainbow Drop was added to the middle using Glue Dots (AD-0083).
I love our Rainbow Drops. I am so glad they are part of the 12 Days of Deals. I am buying 2 sets as I do use them a lot.
Yes, the New Year will be here before we know it. What better way to ring in the New Year than with fun chocolate treats!
I used the Midnight Kisses (AT-0249) set and inked it up in Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041) onto a scrap of Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock. Then using the 3/4″ punch (TO-0012 and the handle TO-0031), punched them out and adhered them to a chocolate kiss with a Glue Dot (AD-0083).
Change up the ink color and really have some fun!
This set would be great paired with 12 Days of Deals for December 13, 2017!!
I am loving the Romantic Journey Prints paper (PP-0045). So many pretty designs!!!
I wanted to make a few Thank You cards to have on hand. So I pulled out the Romantic Journey Prints paper (PP-0045) and the Must Have Sentiments (SS-0501) stamp set and well let’s just say that one thing led to another and I ended up making more than a few!!(ha, ha).
The cardstock I used was Denim Days (CS-0082), Butter Cream (CS-0006) and Romantic Journey Prints (PP-0045). I inked up all the sentiments from the Must Have Sentiments (SS-0501) in Denim Days (IP-0010) ink.
These were quick and easy to make. Great to have on hand and would also make a great gift set.
Just a reminder that Select Prints Packs are 50% off as part of the 12 Days of Deals for December 17, 2017 . Pair it with the other items for this card and you have a great gift!
