Crush on Color

Paper, Paper, Paper| Coordinating Colors

I love, love, love paper.  I always have.  [I have a problem I know.]  I love getting a new notebook to write notes in.  I love the feeling of a fresh piece of card stock right out of the package.  I love feeling the smoothness of it.  For me it is like a new day, it is a brand new canvas for me to make my creations with.

When I get a paper order in from Fun Stampers Journey, I am over the moon.  I love the smell of it.  [LOL]  And I love to hoard pretty patterns. [Yes, you guessed it, I often order one pack to use and keep the other just to look at].

So if you are a paper lover like me, you are going to love the printed papers and card stock that Fun Stampers Journey has to offer.

Not only do I love the quality of our Fun Stampers Journey card stock but I also love the patterns on our printed paper.  And everything coordinates!!!!  I love that.

Here is a video for you taking a closer look at each of the Printed Paper Pack that Fun Stampers Journey has to offer.

And because I love ya and want you to spend more time bringing paper to life than trying to figure out which color card stock goes with which pattern paper, here is a special resource for you.

Bundle Up | FSJ Color Bundles

I love our Color Bundles.  When I started out with Fun Stampers Journey (FSJ) I wanted every color of card stock, ink pads and reinkers. I was so happy to learn that they had Color Bundles.  Not only did I save some money for other craft supplies but it was so easy to order.  I didn’t have to click each item, I just selected the bundles I wanted and waited for them to come in.  [I don’t know about you but I rather spend my time crafting – so ordering the bundles saved me time and money].

Joy Bundle | Baby Card (video)

This is a super quick, super easy and super cute baby card.  I am a bit old fashion and love the element of surprise.  So creating a boy/girl card works perfect for me.  All the stamps used came from the Joy Bundle Bundle (BD-0267).  [This is such a great set, I am so sad to see that is on the retired list].

Joy Bundle

On a Whip Cream (CS-0040) card base, the inside sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041).  [I always stamp the inside first when I don’t add an additional panel to the inside, this way if you make a mistake you can easily fold it over and cover it with the card front].

Joy Bundle4

On the card front, I added a piece of Pool Play (CS-0092) and Bubble Gum (CS-0099).  Then on a Whip Cream panel Boy was stamped in Pool Play ink (IP-0051) and Girl was stamped in Bubble Gum ink (IP-0058).  This panel was adhered to the card front.

Joy Bundle2

The Stork was stamped in Black Licorice onto a Whip Cream piece of card stock and cut out with the coordinating die.  The Bag was stamped in Summer Days ink (IP-0042) onto a piece of Banana Cream (CS-0087) card stock and cut out with the coordinating die.

Joy Bundle3

Both the Stork and Bag were popped up onto the card front using Foam Squares (AD-0084 & AD-0085).  Lemon Grass Thread (AC-0132) was tied around the bag.  [I did this after it was attached to the card.  Sliding the thread under the bag, using the Stork as another hand so to speak to it was easier for me to tie the thread.]

Candy Dots (AC-0134) were added to finish off the card.  [The Candy Dots are on the retired list as well].  You can easily change this card  and make it specifically for a boy or a girl.

Here is a quick video on how to make this card.
