With Sympathy

The Dandelion Wishes (SS-0497) stamp set is still one of my favorites.  I like the simple look of this card.

Dandelion Wishes Sympathy1

On a piece of Oatmeal Cookie (CS-0023) card stock, the images from the Dandelion Wishes (SS-0497) stamp set were stamped in Dark Roast (IP-0050) and Butter Cream Ink (IP-0031).  The With Sympathy sentiment was stamped in Dark Roast and comes from the Bird Melody (SS-0496) stamp set.

Sparkle Silk (IP-0126) was added before adhering it with Easy Glide (AD-0081) to a Hazelnut (CS-0013) card base.

Dandelion Wishes Sympathy

Here are the measurements:
Hazelnut = 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Oatmeal Cookie = 4 x 5 1/4 (you will need 2 of these, one for the inside panel)

Dandelion Wishes – Birthday

I can’t get enough of the Dandelion Wishes (SS-0497) stamp set.  I don’t know about you but sometimes my craft space is not always organized and I will admit that I had lost this stamp set.  No, not just one stamp, the whole stamp set.  I shouldn’t say lost, I should say misplaced.  Well I found it (3 months later)!!!  I just had to make a card with it in case it went missing again.

Dandelion Wishes

Using Lovely Blue (IP-0075) and the Ink Splat (AT-0108) ATS, I randomly stamped a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) card stock.  I wanted something in the background that did not over power the background.  Then using Pool Play (IP-0051) I stamped some of the images from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  I stamped a few more images and the sentiment in Denim Days (IP-0010).  I added some Silver Silk (IP-0090) and Sparkle Silk (IP-0126).

The Whip Cream (CS-0040) panel was adhered to a piece of Bush Silver (CS-0135) before adhering to the Denim Days (CS-0082) card base with Foam Squares (AD-0085).

For the inside I stamped it the same way as the front except I only added the Sparkle Silk and did not add the Silver Silk.

Northern Lights/Make a Wish

I love, love, love this card!!!  This is a really cool technique that Richard showed us.  It is really awesome.   (I just have to say that Richard and the whole FSJ crew are amazing  – they are always sharing new and exciting techniques with us.  I just love that).

Ok, now back to the card.  I like our Sour Lemon cardstock.  It is bright and cheerful.  I do use it but it is not one of my go to colors, until now.  Hold on to your hats and check this out.

Northern LIghts 1
Prepare to be amazed at what this piece of Sour Lemon cardstock turns into

First you start out with a piece of Sour Lemon cardstock (CS-0126).  Then using the following ink pads Electric Lime (IP-0112), Cosmic Grape (IP-0111), and Turbo Teal (IP-0116) you apply color with a Dauber (TO-0138) in random spots in a circular motion onto the Sour Lemon piece. Be sure to leave some spots of the Sour Lemon cardstock showing.

Northern LIghts 2
It doesn’t look like much but hold on.

You then apply Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041) or Denim Days (IP-0010) using a dauber starting on the outside edge of the card and working your way in.  You want lighter and darker areas.

Northern LIghts 3
Don’t panic, it gets better.

I then took the Stay Wild ATS (AT-0207) and inked it up with Black Licorice ink and stamped just the upper portion of the stamp onto the card front.  I used our Silver  Ink (IP-0107) to ink up the Starry Night Stamp (SS-0357) and then finally the Make a Wish sentiment from Dandelion Wishes (SS-0497) was embossed using White Embossing Powder (IP-0098).

Northern LIghts 4
Complete WOW card, right!!!  Love it!!!

I adhered this panel to a Black Licorice card base.

This is such a cool technique I really hope you try it.  It really makes for a beautiful card.  Every card you make will be different.  Try different colors than the ones I used and see what awesome creations you make.

This is definitely a WOW card.

Make A Wish/Dandelion Wishes

It was really difficult since there are so many great choices but this is on the top 10 list of my favorites products from the new catalog.

Make a Wish
Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set (SS-0497)

I just love, love, love this stamp set. The sentiment is just beautiful and can be used for so many occasions.

This card is great because it uses our Whip Cream cardstock for both the panel and base of the card.  There is something about white on white that looks so amazing!

Pool Play Ink (IP-0051) and a Dauber (TO-0138) was used to color the upper left portion of the whip cream cardstock.  You work the color in a circular motion – wanting it to be darker toward the top/side and then fade out as you move toward the center.  Our daubers are very easy to work with using this technique.  Very smooth.

Then stamp the large dandelion image and small stemmed image using Catalina Splash Ink  (IP-0073) several times.

Stamp the stemmed dandelion once and the smaller pieces a few times using Clear Pigment Ink (IP-0102) – pour White Embossing Powder (IP-0098) on to the dandelion images and flick off the excess – heat set using a heat gun (TO-0083).

Stamp the “Make a Wish” phrase sentiment onto the lower right corner of the Whip Cream (CS-0040) panel using Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041).

Flick with Silver (IP-0090) and Sparkle Silk (IP-0126).   (I use Sparkle Silk a lot so I make sure I order 2 bottles at a time – maybe I’m a little addicted).

Pop up the Whip Cream panel onto the Whip Cream card base using foam squares (AD-0084 or AD-0085).

Don’t forget to stamp your envelope to your choosing!  It is a nice added touch for the recipient.

Then sit back and enjoy your creation!
