I have never made an eclipse card. I got to make one at the craft retreat I was at a bit ago and fell in love with the design. It is so crisp and clean looking but yet has depth/dimension.
On a Whip Cream (CS-0040) card base, a piece of Denim Days (CS-0082) was adhered using Easy Glide (AD-0081) to the card base.
On a piece of Whip Cream the imaged from the Blue Skies stamp set (SS-0574) was stamped in Denim Days ink (IP-0010) as well as the sentiment. Then using the Hexagons Dies (DI-0290) you center them on the image and then cut them out. The main layer is adhered using Easy Glide (AD-0081), the first die cut piece is popped up using Foam Squares (AD-0084), the second piece is adhered using Easy Glide and the last piece is adhered using Foam Squares (AD-0085).
Fashion Silver (AC-0293) was added to finish off the card.
I really enjoyed learning how to make the eclipse card. If you haven’t tried it, I hope you give it a try.

I participated in this week’s color throwdown challenge CTD#488. I had a lot of fun creating.
The card front was made by using our Gel Press (JM-0107), Brayer (TO-0087) Cool Pool Splash (IP-0076), Shimmer Gold Splash(IP-0081) and Whip Cream Acrylic Paint (JM-0106). [I learned this technique on the Fun Stampers Journey – Try-day Friday post on Facebook]. After that dried I adhered it to a Pool Play (CS-0092) card base. The I added a strip of Kiwi Slice (CS-0016).
The truck came from the Happy Adventure (SS-0565) stamp set [definitely on my top 10 list] and was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink onto a piece of Whip Cream cardstock. I colored the truck in using Pineapple Smoothie Splash (IP-0080), Shimmer Silver Splash (IP-0082) and a Blending Brush (TO-0097) with water in the barrel. The flowers in the truck were colored in with Just Write Gels (JD-0060). I popped that up on the card front using Foam Squares (AD-0085).
Using Lemon Drop (CS-0018) cardstock and the Journey Circles (DI-0039) I cut out the sun and stamped the sentiment from the Blue Skies (SS-0574) stamp set in Black Licorice ink. The clouds were cut out of Whip Cream (CS-0040) card stock using the Cloud Dreams (DI-0032) dies. Those were popped up using Foam Squares. I added a Whip Cream Thread (AC-0128) bow to the sun and the card was finished.
