Uplift Die Set | Make A Wish

I love the Make A Wish Bundle (BD-0270) and the Gift Slider Die Set (DI-0384)!!!

Uplift Birthday

I cut a piece from the Birthday Pop Prints (PP-0052) and adhered it to a Black Licorice (CS-0003) card panel onto a Huckleberry Fusion (CS-0015) card base.  Using the Uplift Die Set (DI-0384), I die cut some pieces from Limeade Splash (CS-0020) and the Birthday Pop Prints (PP-0052).  I added some Black Licorice Twine (AC-0004) to the ends of the balloons before popping them up on the card front using Foam Squares (AD-0085).

The Make A Wish was stamped in Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041) onto a piece of Whip Cream (CS-0040) card stock and cut out using the coordinating die.  I added some Turbo Teal (IP-0119) Silk to this piece before popping it up on the card with Foam Squares.

I needed to make this card into a gift card holder so I pulled out the Gift Slider Die Set.  However, I didn’t think the bow went with the balloon theme so I had to improvise.  [Have you ever had to do improvise on a card?  Drop me a comment and let me know.]

Uplift Birthday2

I decided to use the same paper and the Uplift Die set to cut out a balloon that would be big enough to cover the bow.  Added some Black Licorice Twine and using Foam Squares (AD-0084) popped the balloon on to the edges of the bow!!

Here’s to improvising!!!

What?!?!? – Turbo Teal Ink and Cranberry Bliss Card Stock

Sometimes the creative mind takes over and you just have to go with it!!!

I wanted to make some birthday cards to have on hand and I know I wanted to use the Ink Splat (AT-0108) ATS.  I pulled out a piece of Cranberry Bliss (CS-0090) card stock and for whatever reason reached for my Turbo Teal Ink Pad (IP-0116).  Well I have to say I love how it turned out!

I adhered the Cranberry Bliss piece to a piece of Black Licorice (CS-0003) and then adhered it to a Whip Cream (CS-0040) card base.

Make a Wish

Using Silver Embossing Powder (IP-0100) I heat embossed the Make-A-Wish ATS (AT-0246) onto Black Licorice (CS-0003) and cut it out with the coordinating die (DI-0355) or you can buy it as a bundle (BD-0270).  I then popped it up using Foam Squares (AD-0085).  I added some Special Celebrations Sequins (AC-0115) using Glue Dots (AC-0083)Journey Glaze (AD-0003) was applied to the cup of the sequin.  I wanted to try it.  It doesn’t change the look but it changed the texture when you touch them.  Makes them rounded.

Make a Wish2 copy

For the inside I stamped it the same way as the card front but used the Gift Slider Die Set (DI-0384) so that you can add a gift card.  I will be posting a couple other cards that I made using this die set throughout the week.  I wasn’t sure if I really needed this die in my stash or not but I have to say that I am so glad that I purchased it.  It comes in handy for gift card giving and I love the uniqueness of it.

Happy gift card giving!

Need more inspiration??

Did you know that if you go to http://www.funstampersjourney.com/lorenahann and click on the Inspiration Tab to the far right, then select Gallery – you can search by stamp category, occasion or project type.  What comes up are the projects that have been created by the Fun Stampers Journey crew. Not only is this great inspiration but it also gives you the option to add all the items used to create those projects to your cart all at once (or click on the items used to add them individually)!  A real time saver for sure.

The project below came  from the Gallery.

Vintage Sound/Happy Birthday

I love music!!!  There was nothing like listening to a record on the record player.  Listening to all the clicks and pops and yes the times when you had to put a penny on the needle so it wouldn’t skip (boy have we come a long way).  LOL – so the minute I saw the Vintage Sound stamp set (SS-0328) I had to get it.  I just knew it would be a big hit!  I decided to make a birthday card with it for another music lover in my family.

Vintage Sound
Vintage Sound Stamp Set (SS-0328)

I stamped the guitar from the Vintage Sound Stamp Set (SS-0328) onto a Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013) card base using Dark Roast (IP-0050) ink.  I used some of the images from the same stamp and embossed them onto Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock.  Before embossing I prep my cardstock by using our Colorless Blender (JM-0095) to help reduce the static.  The records and music notes from the Vintage Sound Stamp Set were stamped with Clear Pigment Ink (IP-0102) and embossed using Black Embossing Powder (IP-0099) and for the record adapter, I stamped the image in Lemon Drop (IP-0043) Ink and the very quickly applied Clear Embossing Powder (IP-0097).  [Our inks dry quickly (which I love) so I wanted to make sure that I applied the Clear Embossing Powder right away and then heat set with the Heat Tool (TO-0083). ]

Vintage Sound 2
Love how the records look embossed.

I added some Silver Silk (IP-0090) and Turbo Teal Silk (IP-0119) to the panel before I adhered it to a piece of Pool Play (CS-0092) cardstock which I popped up using Foam Squares (AD-0085) onto the Hazelnut Blend card base.

I cut a piece of Vellum (PP-0044) using our Journey Circle Dies (DI-0039) (these come with a piercing element as well).  Popped that up using Foam Squares and added a piece of Journey Silver Thread (AC-0204) before adding the sentiment that was stamped in Dark Roast Ink (IP-0050) onto Whip Cream cardstock and cut out using the Details Pro Shears (TO-0063).

I felt the card still needed a little something so I added some of our Rainbow Drops (AC-0178). (You get a variety of colors and sizes with these gems – I have 2 sets, one to use and one to just look at!).

I wanted to add a little something to the inside of the card as well so I used Pool Play Ink (IP-0051) to stamp the Vintage Notes (SS-0303).  I didn’t want a full impression so when I applied the ink I made sure that it was applied randomly to the image.  Happy Birthday was stamped in Dark Roast Ink (IP-0050) and came from the Cake Time Stamp Set (SS-0138).  I wanted to continue the pattern from the front of the card so I added some Silver Silk and Turbo Teal Silk to the inside of the card as well.

Vintage Sound 3
Love to bring elements from the outside of the card to the inside.

I love the images from the Vintage Sound stamp set and didn’t get to use them all on this card so I just had to stamp the envelope (ST-0118) as well.

Vintage Sound Env
Used more images from the Vintage Notes Stamp Set to decorate the envelope.
