Home Sweet Home

Nothing feels better than being home.  I recently came back from a family trip.  We had to drive since it was not in the family budget for us to fly.  We had a blast but the drive was long and it was so nice to be home.

Using the wood grain pattern from the Good Life Prints, I adhered a piece of Fresh Sage satin ribbon before adhering the panel to a Hazelnut Blend card base using Easy Glide.  The sentiment comes from the Humble & Kind stamp set and was stamped in Chambray Shirt ink.

I stamped the milk bottle vase in Chambray Shirt ink as well a piece of Whip Cream cardstock. The flowers were colored in with Peaches and Cream Liquid Color with a Small Blending Brush.  The milk bottle was lightly sponged in Tin Pail ink using a Small Dauber.

Then using the Window View Die, [this is a favorite of mine] I cut out another wood grain panel to make the window frame.  The Rustic Rose check pattern paper comes from the Good Life Prints as well. [I thought it would make a nice wallpaper as you looked through the window].  I added a Clearview Sheet to give the look of glass for the window. The window frame was added onto the front of the card using our new Foam Tape.

What a great card this would be to accompany your housewarming gift to someone who just moved into a new house or apartment.  Looking at the flowers through the window makes this house look so inviting.
