I love, love, love this card!!! This is a really cool technique that Richard showed us. It is really awesome. (I just have to say that Richard and the whole FSJ crew are amazing – they are always sharing new and exciting techniques with us. I just love that).
Ok, now back to the card. I like our Sour Lemon cardstock. It is bright and cheerful. I do use it but it is not one of my go to colors, until now. Hold on to your hats and check this out.
First you start out with a piece of Sour Lemon cardstock (CS-0126). Then using the following ink pads Electric Lime (IP-0112), Cosmic Grape (IP-0111), and Turbo Teal (IP-0116) you apply color with a Dauber (TO-0138) in random spots in a circular motion onto the Sour Lemon piece. Be sure to leave some spots of the Sour Lemon cardstock showing.
You then apply Black Licorice Ink (IP-0041) or Denim Days (IP-0010) using a dauber starting on the outside edge of the card and working your way in. You want lighter and darker areas.
I then took the Stay Wild ATS (AT-0207) and inked it up with Black Licorice ink and stamped just the upper portion of the stamp onto the card front. I used our Silver Ink (IP-0107) to ink up the Starry Night Stamp (SS-0357) and then finally the Make a Wish sentiment from Dandelion Wishes (SS-0497) was embossed using White Embossing Powder (IP-0098).
I adhered this panel to a Black Licorice card base.
This is such a cool technique I really hope you try it. It really makes for a beautiful card. Every card you make will be different. Try different colors than the ones I used and see what awesome creations you make.
This is definitely a WOW card.
May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.
