Enjoy Retirement

There have been several occasions where I used the Stay Wild stamp.  It is my go to stamp for masculine cards.

Below is a Retirement card I made using the Stay Wild Stamp (AT-0207).

Enjoy Retirement
Background ink was blended with daubers.

I made this a top folding card and used Blue Lagoon cardstock (CS-0004) for the card base.  I cut two strips of Pool Play cardstock (CS-0092) to 1 x 5 1/2.  A piece of Whip Cream cardstock (CS-0040) was cut to 3 3/4 x 5 1/2 for the card front.

I used our daubers(TO-0138) to blend the ink onto the cardstock.  Sweet Pear (IP-0054)  was used for the grass and then Lemon Drop (IP-0043)  was used as the sky.  If you look closely you can see in the upper left corner a darker spot of the Lemon Drop.  I wanted to give the effect of the sun being in the sky.  To get this effect I inked up the dauber in Lemon Drop and then pressed it down on that corner as if I was stamping then blended the color out.

I inked up the Stay Wild stamp set in Hazelnut Blend (IP-0012) and stamped it twice on the cardstock.  The sentiment Enjoy Retirement (I love the font by the way) comes from the Bird Melody (SS-0496)  stamp set and was stamped in Black Licorice (IP-0041) ink.  I finished off the card by using some Silver Silk (IP-0090) but I covered the trees with a piece of scrap paper because I only wanted the silk in the sky portion of the card.

The strips of Pool Play were adhered to the Whip Cream cardstock using Easy Glide (AD-0081) adhesive and then popped up on foam squares (AD-0085) onto the Blue Lagoon Card base.

May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.
