It never fails no matter how much I try to plan ahead there is always a birthday that comes up that I forgot about or the kids get invited to a birthday party and we only have a couple of days to get a gift and card. I needed to make a birthday card so I decided to make several of them to keep on hand. This card is perfect because it is very universal. It can be easily used for male, female, adults, tweens, kids. And I love when I can use the scrap cardstock that I have on hand. (Yes, I have a whole bin of scrap cardstock!).
These cards were pretty easy to put together. I die cut the balloons using the Blow-up Die (this die is currently a Bloom Benefit [DI-0171] – this die also coordinates with the Blown Up stamp set that is part of the Break Up Sale). I ran some of the balloons through the Yummy Dots embossing folder. Stamped others using the stamps from Create Confetti (this is one of my go to stamps – so versatile).

When stamping the sentiment Happy Birthday, I did not use a stamp positioner, instead I lined up the lines on our clear blocks with the lines on our grid paper. It was so much easier for me and it went rather quickly.

With this card design you can use several different color combinations. You can easily use the inks and cardstock that you already have on hand.
I added some Licorice Sparkle tape and it took all my power not to add the Sparkle Silk. I have been using the Sparkle Silk on everything lately and I really thought I needed to make a card without it. Yes I am going through withdrawal!!!!

May all your hand-made creations be Inked with Kindness, Stamped with Love.
Happy Crafting!!
Keep up the great work Lorena!
